29, 2006 - 8:00am - 12:00pm - Two of our team members assisted the St.
Louis County Park Rangers with directing traffic and managing parking
for the Mighty Mud Mania event at Jefferson Barracks Park. The event is
for kids and the big draw is a giant mud pit with obstacles for the kids
to play in and have fun. Around 11am an ambulance was called to the scene
for a person having a seizure. Unit 220 notified unit 65, who was stationed
at the back entrance, about the ambulance en route. 65 made sure the ambulance
was able to make it through the barricades. After the event many kids
developed rashes due to bacteria present in the mud. The rashes were harmless
and went away within a couple of days.
