| 2006 JB Park Adult Easter Egg Hunt |
| April
7 & 8 - 9:00pm - 11:00pm - Our team assisted the St. Louis County
Park Rangers with the Adult Easter Egg Hunt at JB Park. There were 10,000
plastic eggs placed all over the park for people to find. The eggs contained
numbers so the egg hunters didn't know what prize they had won until they
turned in their eggs at the event pavilion. There were six $100 eggs also
hidden in the park. Our team assisted with guiding the cars to the fields
used for parking and directed traffic out of the park when the event ended.
During the event the Rangers and our team drove around the park with our
warning lights on as a visible safety presence incase someone needed help.
Two of our team members rode their mountain bikes through the park to
cover all the trails that couldn't be reached by vehicle. On Friday night
two of our team members on bikes came across a lady that had fallen and
injured herself. They called a Ranger to the scene. After a few minutes,
the lady determined she wasn't badly injured and was able to walk away.
Another lady was struck by a deer while walking in the park that same
night but she was also not badly injured. Saturday night, because of the
cold temperatures, our team members gave some people (including an eight
month pregnant woman) rides back to the pavilion because they were suffering
from hypothermia. |
