| 2005 Mighty Mud Mania |
| July
30, 2005 - 8:00am - 2:00pm - Our team assisted the St. Louis County Park
Rangers with directing traffic and managing parking for the Mighty Mud
Mania event at Jefferson Barracks Park. The event is for kids and the
big draw is a giant mud pit with obstacles for the kids to play in and
have fun. Because of advertisement in the local papers, there was a much
larger crowd than usual for this event. Once the ball fields filled up
with cars our team and the park rangers had to quickly divert traffic
to other areas in the park for parking. Around noon an ambulance was called
to the scene for a diabetic case. Unit 02 and 65 heard the call go out,
alerted the park rangers (who had no knowledge of the call), and moved
barricades so the ambulance could get to the scene quickly. The patient
was treated at the scene and refused a ride to the hospital. |
