November 17, 2001 - 9:00am to 10:30am - Our team provided traffic control for St. Louis University's "Turkey Trott". It's a 5 mile run/walk sponsored by St. Louis University through the streets of downtown St. Louis. About 300 people ran or walked the 5 miles this year. Our team members closed busy intersections along the route to allow the runners to pass without worrying about traffic. We also drove the route behind the runners to keep cars from trying to pass them. One runner did trip and hurt himself but he refused medical help from all of our members present.

Note: Although no St. Louis City Police officers were assisting us in stopping traffic, we had a permit filed with the city that allowed us to stop traffic for the runners.
