October 6 - 7, 2001 - Our team
worked with the St. Louis County Park Rangers and the St. Louis
County Police to provide traffic control and parking supervision
for the South County Fair at Jefferson Barracks Park in St. Louis
County. Our team worked a 15 hour shift Saturday and a 10 hour
shift Sunday. The event included a fair, free concert, fireworks
display, and a car show. Along with directing traffic and managing
parking, our team performed other duties such as jump-starting
a car, changing a flat tire, looking for a lost child, alerting
Park Rangers about a group of teens that were looking through
the windows of parked cars, helping an elderly lady who locked
her keys in her car, driving around an elderly couple that couldn't
find their car, and giving a lady and her kids a ride home when
she was separated from her friend.
